What do you do when you are snowed in?

You paint glasses of course.

Here are some of my latest creations.

I may be cross eyed by the end of the day working on them but it is worth it.

I made this glass for a give away for my daughters blog. It has been months since Sandy won but I just did not have the time. Sandy, if you are reading this, I am mailing this out to you today.

I finally made a glass for my daughter

I also finally made a glass for myself. I think  Cosmo's actually taste better in this glass. It could be that I have been using cran-cherry instead of plain cranberry. If you like Cosmo's and you like cherry, try it. It is so good!

I will probably be working on some new glasses tomorrow. We will be getting snow YET again.

I hope everyone has a great week!
How many days until spring?

Winter Wonderland

Or Hell?

The blizzard of 2013 started yesterday. We are all on lock down here in Massachusetts. The Governor has stated that if you are caught out in the blizzard it is a $500.00 fine or possibly up to a year in jail. I get that they don't want the gawkers out in this storm.

They are saying we have 24 inches and possibly will be getting up to 30 inches with 10 foot snowbanks. It is supposed to wind down at around 2pm today.

I had no plans so I really don't mind. I will however mind when I do have to go out. The town does a horrible job plowing and I can only imagine what secondary roads will be like.

I went to the grocery store on Thursday and it was a nightmare. That is my normal shopping day anyway. I really should have gone on Wednesday. Why does everyone need bread and milk when there is a storm? I just don't get it. You don't have that in your house already and need to stock up? If you didn't have it then you don't really need it unless of course you just happened to run out.

My husband went to get gas and the line was all the way out to the street.

Junk food fest will begin later. It is the end of the world right?

I think it would be a good day for a nice big breakfast. As you can see, all I can think about is food. What else is there to do in a storm? The news is boring because there is nobody out in the storm. I don't need to watch them showing me the snow on TV.  I can look right out my window and see it.

I may have to look in the basement and see if I saved my kids sleds.
I just wish my husband still had his riding snow blower so that he could pull me around in the sled.

Happy hour will probably commence earlier than usual. Do you blame me?

Pretty high snowbank

That is in fact my buried mailbox

I have an overhang over my front door but when I opened the door, this is what I got.

These are my husbands best friends, his grills, buried.

This is my sliding door in the family room. See how high the snow is on the deck?

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Please get out in your car and go somewhere for me.

 Can winter be over yet?

The Nail Files 2/1

Today I am linking up with Tara and Vicki for the Nail Files.

I haven't linked up with the nail files lately because I just haven't had a different manicure. I got a french gel manicure before I went on vacation 3 weeks and 3 days ago. Twenty four days to be exact.

As soon as I got home, I put a coat of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails over it.
I packed twice, did about 50 loads of laundry, bathed a baby regularly and cleaned all of my bathrooms  and this is how my nails look today.

Not bad right? The growth at the bottom doesn't really bother me because it is not as noticeable as it would be with a color.

I am going for a mani/pedi this weekend. My cuticles are a mess and my nails need to be shaped. I did want to show how great Sally Hansen Hard as Nails really is. I swear by the stuff. I can guarantee my nails would not have stayed this nice had I not used it. If you don't own a bottle, go get some.

Have a great weekend!!
