Its Ok Thursday 1/24

Its Ok Thursdays

"Its OK"

-That as much as I loved being on vacation and visiting my daughter and favorite baby, I LOVE being home.

-That my husband and I did not want to end our vacation so we took a vacation day after we got home and went for Chinese food and finally drank our New Years Eve champagne that I couldn't stay awake for.

-That I have so much to catch up on. I will get there eventually. Sometimes you just need to unplug.

-That I came home to a clean house. My husband cleaned and made sure I had a fresh bed and all of my favorite blankets were washed. He also cleaned and bleached all of the grout in my kitchen area. You have no idea what a daunting task this is. Its a big area to cover.
He likes to have a project when I go away. He did a great job. I am so appreciative.

-That I need to go check up on my parents (babies) today. It has been too long.

-That next time before I go away for so long, I will have to plan my waxing schedule better.

-That it is back to healthy food. I haven't cooked in probably 3 weeks. It is going to be hard getting back on track.

-That my favorite baby got a princess castle tent for her birthday. I would hide in it before she came downstairs in the morning. I would also hide in it when she woke up from her nap and my daughter would say "Where is Mimi?" The dog sometimes gave me away by coming in the tent for some affection. I wonder if she will look in there for me today when she wakes up? I miss her already.

-That I don't think I have driven in 3 weeks. I hope I remember how.

-That I passed along my nail polish obsession to my daughter. It could be worse right?

-That my favorite curling iron that I keep in the outer pocket of my suitcase got smashed to smithereens at the airport. I always put it there and I never have a problem. Good thing my daughter had the exact same curling iron and gave me hers because she never uses it. I will have to deal with the hockey tape on the lever if I have to.

-That I am wondering how my other daughter survived her laundress being on vacation. I haven't been in her room yet and I can only imagine the hamper situation in there. Maybe I will wait until tomorrow. I don't want to cry today.

-That I tried to pack my favorite baby in my suitcase but it didn't work.

-That I have to wait for my daughter to get home for her to download all of my pictures from my SD card onto my little computer. I know I am pathetic that I don't know how.

-That this is what my thermometer is saying. Do I really have to go out today?

-That I miss my friend ShaSha and our happy hours. I hope she can come over later.

Have a great Thursday!

  1. Heyyy I'm a new follower, glad I found your blog! How far away do you live from your daughter? My parents live in upstate NY and we're currently in SC and it makes me so sad that they only get to see my baby once or twice a year :/ She's their first granddaughter, and my mom is also "mimi" Lots in common!

It is so hard to re-enter
I can't believe husband did all of that while you were gone
Pretty sure that would never happen in a million years at my house

  9. Hi Laura, I'm dropping by from Our Everyday Harvest's weekend blog hop. I am new to your blog. Your grandbaby is such a cutie. Love the castle. :) How nice to have a hubby do the floors. I must admit. I'm very blessed. Mine does that too. :) It must have been nice getting a chance to get away and visit your family. I love little getaways. Our last was in May. I do believe it has been too long. I'm a new follower. Hope you can stop by and say hello.
